Block someone

Unwanted messages through your Kard? Block the sender from their contact, and what they send that Kard next is dropped quietly; a booking they try is refused.

Anyone can send you their details from your Kard, and some keep at it. When what comes from someone is unwanted, block them on that Kard: what they send it from then on is dropped quietly, and you aren't told. A booking they try is refused instead, asking them to contact you directly.

Block them

  1. Open the Kard's Contacts tab and tap the person's name: their "Contact details" open.
  2. At the foot, under "Block", press "Block" with their first name, such as "Block Ravi".
  3. Confirm. The question warns that what they send your Kard "from now on won't reach you", and that you can unblock them there.

The panel then reads "Blocked" with the day and who did it, as in "Blocked 19 Oct 2026 by you.", and how they're known: their email address, their number, and their eKard account when they shared their own card back. Any one of them is enough to know them by next time, so a new email address with the same number is still dropped.

Someone who left no email address or number can't be blocked, and the panel says so: there's "nothing to block them by".

What it stops, and what it doesn't

What a blocked person sends that Kard is dropped before it's saved: their details from its page, a card shared back, a place on its booking page's waitlist. You get no contact, no email and no notification, and no webhook goes out. They see what anyone sees when sending.

A booking they try on the Kard's booking page is refused, with “We couldn't book this online. Please contact” and your calendar's name “directly.”, the words anyone your calendar blocks gets, so it doesn't say which block it was. It's the one thing a blocked person can notice: dropping a booking quietly would leave them expecting an appointment that isn't there.

  • Their contact stays in your list, with your notes. To remove it too, delete it (Your contacts).
  • They can still see your Kard: it's a public page.
  • The block is on that Kard's booking page only. To stop someone booking with your calendar by any of its links, use "Block online booking" on their client page (Your clients).
  • A block is for one Kard. Blocking someone on one of your Kards leaves your others open to them.
  • You can still add them yourself, by typing them in or scanning their card.

See who's blocked

Once someone is blocked, the Contacts tab says so above the list, as in "1 person blocked: what they send" your Kard "doesn't reach you", with "See who →". That page lists everyone blocked on the Kard, how each is known, when and by whom, with "Unblock" beside each, and it still works when the contact they were blocked from has been deleted. "Unblock" with their first name, on their contact details, does the same. Once unblocked, what they send reaches you again.

Good to know

On a team's Kard, its admins can block and unblock too, as can whoever holds it. Something on someone else's Kard that shouldn't be there is a different matter: Report a Kard.
