Terms and Conditions
Last updated on October 23, 2026
eKard is an online service for digital business cards, which we call Kards, and for taking bookings. These terms are the agreement between you and the team that runs eKard. They cover ekard.app, our Android app, our API, every Kard and booking page we serve, and the emails we send. By creating an account or using eKard, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy says what we do with personal data.
In Short
- What you put on eKard stays yours. You let us store it and show it as you choose, and nothing more.
- The free plan doesn't expire. Starter and Unlimited are paid once; Professional renews every year until you cancel.
- Don't use eKard to break the law, mislead people or send spam.
- You can leave whenever you like: ask for your account to be deleted at Delete your account or in the app.
- Before a significant change to these terms takes effect, we'll email account holders.

Who We Are
"We", "us" and "our" mean the team that runs eKard. "You" means the person using eKard. If you use it for a business or another organization, you also agree to these terms for it, and you confirm you're allowed to.
What eKard Does
- Kards. A Kard is a digital business card: a public page with your details, links, documents and design, with its own link and QR code. Anyone with the link can see it.
- Contacts. People who open a Kard can share their details with its owner, or share their own Kard back. You can also add people yourself in our Android app: typed in, or read off their paper business card.
- Organizations. A business can run its team's Kards together. Its admins manage the organization's Kards and members.
- Calendar and bookings. A business can take bookings from its Kards, its booking links and its own website, run its day at a front desk, and keep its clients, waitlists and the payments it records. We send the booking emails and reminders. Clients book with the business, not with us.
- Your own domain. A Kard can open at a web address you own.
- The API and the Android app. You can use eKard from our Android app, and connect an AI assistant or another tool to your account through our API.
- AI features. AI can draft a business's services from its price list and, in the app, sort a paper business card into contact fields.
Your Account
- You need to be 18 or older to create an account.
- Sign up with an email address you read. What matters goes there, such as password resets and the link that confirms deleting your account.
- Keep your password, your API key and your phone's sign-in to yourself: you're responsible for what's done with your account. If you think someone else got in, change your password, which also signs our app out on your other phones, and write to hello@ekard.app.
- If you join a team, its admins manage the organization's Kards and members, and a business's front desk and staff see what their role allows.
Plans and Billing
- Free. The free plan isn't a trial and doesn't expire. Our Pricing page lists what it includes, and what each paid plan adds and costs.
- Paying. Prices are in Indian rupees. You pay through Razorpay's checkout, under Razorpay's terms, and we never see your card or bank details. A plan starts as soon as the payment goes through.
- Starter and Unlimited are paid once. They never renew and don't expire: they last as long as your account does, for as long as eKard runs.
- Professional renews every year, charged to the payment method you set up with Razorpay, until you cancel. Cancel any time on your Subscription page: that stops the next renewal, and the plan stays active until the end of the year you've paid for. If a renewal can't be charged, the plan ends when the paid year does.
- Moving up to a higher plan charges its full price, with no credit for what you paid before, and the new plan replaces the old one.
- Refunds. If you buy Starter or Unlimited and it isn't right for you, write to hello@ekard.app within 7 days of buying and we'll refund you in full. After 7 days, one-time purchases are final. Refunds go back to the way you paid, through Razorpay, usually within 5–7 business days. If something looks wrong on your bill, such as a double charge or the wrong plan, write to us and we'll put it right. Our Refunds page says the same.
- When a paid plan ends, your Kards, contacts and calendar stay, and what the plan added stops, such as the Analytics tab.
- Prices are launch prices and may change. A change never affects what you've already paid for, and before a new price applies to your Professional renewal, we'll email you.
Your Content
- It's yours. What you put on eKard stays yours: your Kards with their photos, documents and designs, your contacts, and your calendar with its clients.
- What you let us do with it. You give us permission to store it, copy it (into backups, for example), show it and send it, and to resize or convert it for display, as in QR codes, thumbnails and previews, only to run eKard for you and the people you share with. A Kard is shown to anyone with its link, and to search engines if you switch that on. The permission ends when you delete the content, apart from copies in our backups, which go within 12 months, and what other people have already saved, such as a contact card they downloaded.
- Your responsibility. Publish only what you have the right to: your own photos and logos, or ones you're allowed to use, and other people's details only with their permission.
- Ours. eKard's software, designs, templates and name are ours. You may use our designs and templates for your Kards on eKard.
- Ideas. If you send us a suggestion, we may use it freely, with no obligation to you.
Contacts, Clients and Bookings
- The details you collect are in your care. The contacts on your Kards and the clients in your calendar are people's personal data, and you decide what happens to them; we store and process them for you (see the Privacy Policy). Use them as the people who gave them would expect, follow the privacy laws that apply to you, and answer people who ask you to see, correct or delete their details.
- If you take bookings, your services, prices, hours and policies (on cancellations, missed visits and advances, for example) are yours to set and to keep. Money between you and your clients, advances and their refunds included, is between you and them: eKard doesn't take, hold or refund it. We send booking emails and reminders for you, in your business's name.
- If you book with a business, your booking is with the business, and its own policies apply. We pass your details to it, and send you its messages about your booking. Keep your booking's private link to yourself: anyone who has it can move or cancel the booking.
Links, QR Codes and Domains
- Your Kard's link. Each Kard gets a link on ekard.app, and paid plans add a link with your name. Some words are kept for our own pages. We may change a link that impersonates someone, infringes a trademark or misleads people, and we'll tell you when we do.
- QR codes point to your Kard's link, or to your own domain. If you change the link, remove the domain or delete the Kard, printed codes stop working.
- Your own domain. A Kard can open at a domain you own, such as card.yourname.com: you add the DNS record we show you, or we help you set it up. You must own the domain or have its owner's permission. Cloudflare issues the domain's HTTPS certificate for us. The domain shows your Kard only while its record points to us, and your link on ekard.app keeps working either way. When you stop using a domain with eKard, delete its record, so nobody else can connect it. We may refuse or remove a domain that misleads people or infringes someone's rights.
The API and the Android App
- Your API key lets an AI assistant or another tool read and change your account's data, as you can. Keep it secret, and replace it at once on your AI Agents page if it may have leaked. You're responsible for what tools do with it.
- Limits. The API, like the rest of eKard, limits how much and how fast it can be used. We may block a key, or an account, used to overload or abuse eKard. The API reference describes it, and it may change as eKard does.
- The Android app. We give you a personal permission to use the app, which you can't pass on to anyone else. Don't copy, change or take the app apart, except where the law allows it. We may ask you to update the app before you can keep using it. Google Play's terms also apply to downloading it.
AI Features
- AI can get things wrong. Check what it drafts, the services read from a price list or the fields read from a business card, before you save it: what you save is yours to get right.
- The Privacy Policy says what we send to AI companies and what they may do with it. Leave other people's personal details out of a price list you import.
- We limit how often each AI feature can be used, and may pause one when it's busy or costs too much to run.
Acceptable Use
Don't use eKard to:
- break the law, or someone else's rights, such as their copyright, trademark or privacy;
- pretend to be another person or business, or mislead people about who you are;
- publish anything hateful, harassing, violent or sexually explicit, or anything that exploits children;
- send spam, or messages people didn't ask for, through Kards, contact forms, bookings or the emails we send for you;
- phish, spread malware, or link to either;
- get around our limits or security, reach data that isn't yours, or put eKard under strain, by scraping it or signing up in bulk, for example.
If you see something that breaks these rules, tell us at hello@ekard.app. We may remove content that breaks them, and suspend or close the account behind it (see Ending Your Account).
Availability
- We work to keep eKard running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. Keep your own copies of what matters: you can download your contacts, and your clients, as spreadsheets.
- Parts of eKard rely on other companies, such as Google, Microsoft, Razorpay, Cloudflare and WhatsApp. When one of them is down or changes its rules, those parts may stop working.
- eKard includes Google Maps features and content: a business's Google rating and reviews, its listing beside its Kard, and Directions. Your use of them is subject to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
- We may change, add or remove features. If we ever decide to close eKard, we'll email account holders at least 30 days before, so you can download what you need.
Ending Your Account
- You can leave whenever you like. Delete a Kard from its Settings, or your whole account at Delete your account or in the app. We email a link to your account's address, and once you confirm, we delete the account within 30 days, with your Kards and the contacts and visit records they collected, your calendar with its clients and bookings, and the phones and browsers signed in to it. Team Kards you hold in an organization stay with it, without your details. An organization you run isn't deleted with your account: write to hello@ekard.app about it.
- Paid plans. Deleting your account ends your plan, and a Professional plan stops renewing. Refunds follow Plans and Billing.
- If you break these terms. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law, or puts other people at risk. Where we can, we'll tell you why first, and give you the chance to put it right.
- The Privacy Policy says how long we keep what's left, such as our backups.
Our Responsibility
- We provide eKard as it is and as it's available. As far as the law allows, we make no promises about it beyond those in these terms.
- We're not responsible for what other people put on their Kards or do with details you share with them, or for a business's services, bookings, payments and refunds.
- As far as the law allows, we're not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profits, business or data, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it.
- Nothing in these terms takes away rights that the law where you live gives you and doesn't let anyone take away.
Changes to These Terms
When we change these terms, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change matters, we'll also email account holders before it takes effect. If you keep using eKard after it takes effect, the new terms apply to you; if you don't agree with them, you can delete your account.
Everything Else
- If a part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
- If we don't enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- Your account is yours alone: you can't pass it, or these terms, to someone else without our agreement. If eKard changes hands, in a merger or sale, these terms go with it, and the new owner must keep to them.
Contact Us
For questions about these terms, write to hello@ekard.app. To report a Kard, booking page or file, or to reach our Grievance Officer, use the Grievances page. Our Privacy Policy covers personal data, and our Refunds page covers refunds.
